MASON, OHIO – The Mason Comets are celebrating another outstanding achievement on the tennis courts! Seniors Saanvi Reddy and Emma Wagner captured the 2026 OHSAA Division I Girls Tennis Doubles State Championship on Friday, October 16, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, highlighting a remarkable day for the Mason Girls Tennis program.

Reddy and Wagner delivered a championship performance, defeating Seton freshmen Helena and Elle Finley in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1, to claim the coveted state title. Earlier in the day, the Comet duo advanced to the championship match with a semifinal victory over Beavercreek's Ansley Violette and Yuzu Olson.

MASON'S KARTHIKEYAN AND SOUNDAR CLAIM STATE BRONZE!

The Comets weren't finished making headlines!

Mason freshmen Harine Karthikeyan and Megha Soundar added to the program's impressive state tournament showing, capturing third place in Division I doubles.

The talented young duo battled Seton's Finley sisters in a hard-fought semifinal, falling 7-6, 7-5. Refusing to let the setback define their tournament, Karthikeyan and Soundar responded with an impressive 6-2, 6-3 victory over Beavercreek in the third-place match to secure the bronze medal.

Both semifinal and championship matches were played indoors at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

With Mason doubles teams finishing first and third in the state, the Comets once again demonstrated the remarkable talent, depth, and championship tradition of their girls' tennis program.
