KATE RYDER

Mason High School proudly congratulates Kate Ryder, a junior on the Mason Girls Lacrosse Team, on being named this week’s Senour-Flaherty Mason Spring Athlete of the Week.
Kate has been a vital member of the Varsity team since her freshman year. A joy to coach, she is known for her strong dodging ability, finishing skills, and fierce competitive spirit. Kate’s passion for the game and her teammates shines through in her relentless work ethic and dedication to continuous improvement.
In a standout performance, Kate tallied an incredible 11 goals in a big win over Walnut Hills. Unfortunately, her season was cut short due to a season-ending knee injury in game 7. At the time of her injury, she was leading the GMC in goals scored.
Despite her shortened season, Kate still finished in the GMC Top 10 and ranked second on the team in goals scored. Her impact extended beyond scoring, as she also ranked in the team’s top 5 in draw controls, ground balls, and caused turnovers.
We look forward to Kate’s return for her senior year and the exciting milestone of reaching 100 career goals early in the season. Congratulations, Kate!
