Mason Boys Basketball stunned visiting St. Xavier on Tuesday, 12/2, winning by a score of 34-33. The Comets overcame a 7-point deficit to start the 4th quarter, outscoring the Bombers 14-6 in the final frame and then holding on for the win.

Brycen Johnson, once again led Mason with 14 points.

The Comets begin the season 2-0 and will begin GMC play at Princeton on Friday, 12/5.

Mason Boys Bball secured their 3rd straight win last Friday, 50-42 at Princeton. The Comet open GMC play with a huge victory and have yet to taste a loss this season. Mason led 24-17 at the half and then held off the vikings over the final two quarters.

Brycen Johnson led Mason with 23 points. Tyler Lupinski added 14.

Next up, Mason (3-0, 1-0) visits Colerain on Tuesday, 12/9.

Mason goes to 4-0 in the young season with a road win at Colerain. Final score on Tuesday was 65-51. The Comets never trailed in the game, rushing out to a 25-14 lead at the half. Brycen Johnson continued his strong start with 23 points. Sid Wortham had 11. and Cole Swanson came off the bench to add 12.

Next for Mason boys (4-0, 2-0) is a home game versus Fairfield on Friday, 12/12.

Mason Boys Bball ran their early-season record to 5-0 last Friday with a home victory vs Fairfield. Final score was 42-39. The halftime score was 20-17 Comets. Brycen Johnson continued his scoring ways leading Mason with 24 point. Tyler Lupinski chipped in 10.

Mason (5-0, 3-0) will visit another GMC Oak Hills, TONIGHT, Tuesday, 12/16.

Mason Boys Bball sent their winning streak to 6 with a 34-32 overtime win at Oak Hills on Tuesday. After three quarters of play the Comets found themselves in a 21-14 deficit. The fourth quarter was a different story. Mason outscored Oak Hills 15-8 to send the game to overtime where the Comets outlasted the Highlanders to earn another big GMC win.

Brycen Johnson led Mason with 17 points and Sid Wortham added 16.

The Comets (6-0, 4-0) stay on the road on Friday at Sycamore.

The Comets suffer their first loss of the young season. Mason fell behind by 10 at the half and were not able to overcome the deficit. Brycen Johnson leads the team with 23 points.

Mason got back to their winning ways at the Cintas Classic. A strong 3rd quarter propelled the Comets their 8th win of the season. Tyler Lupinski and Brycen Johnson lead Mason with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Mason Boys Basketball kept their GMC record perfect on Friday with a 65-34 win over Colerain. The Comets go to 6-0 in the league and 9-1 overall. Brycen Johnson led Mason with 23 points. Tyler Lupinski grabbed 10 rebounds and Jacob Lupinski scored 12.

Mason Girls Basketball opened their season over Fall Break with a pair of wins.

On Saturday, 11/22, the Comets defeated Kings 64-35 in an away contest. Taylor Stanfield led Mason with 18 points. Anna Habra tossed in 16.

On Tuesday, 11/25, Mason played at Little Miami and came away with an easy 56-36 victory. Stanfield, a sophomore, again led Mason with 18 points while senior Anna Habra contributed 14.

Mason (2-0, 0-0) will begin GMC play on Friday, 12/5 at Princeton.

Mason Girls took their first loss of the season at Princeton in a rare Friday night encounter. The Comets were down 4 at the half and couldn't overcome the Vikings in the 2nd half. Taylor Stanfield led Mason with 18 points and Ann Habra added 10.

Mason (2-1, 0-1) will visit Colerain on Wed. 12/10/25.

Mason defeated Colerain on Wednesday, 12/10 by a score of 61-35. This one was never in doubt. Mason led 26-16 at the half and ran away with it in the final two quarters. Four Comets led Mason: Anna Habra 19, Clara Anderson 16, Addy Bianchini and Nicole Davis with 10 each.

Mason (3-1, 1-1) will host Fairfield on Friday, 12/12.

Mason Girls Bball whalloped Fairfield at home on Friday, 12/12 by a score of 52-38. The scores was 25-11 at the half. Anna Habra poured in 21 points to lead Mason. She completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.

Next up, Mason (4-1, 2-1) will visit Oak Hills on Wednesday, 12/17.

Mason Girls Bball took down Oak Hills on Wed. 12/17 by a final score of 49-41. The Comets were down by 2 points at the half, but were able to overcome the deficit in the final two quarters. Anna Habra and Maggie DeBrosse led Mason with 12 and 10 points perspectively.

Mason (5-1, 3-1) will visit Sycamore TONIGHT, 12/19 as part of a boys/girls varisty double-header.

Over break, the Comets will host Springboro on Saturday, 12/27 and then visit Mount Notre Dame on Tuesday, 12/30.

Mason Swimming opened their season this past Saturday hosting the annual Mason Invitational. The boys finished 2nd overall to St. Xavier. See details below:

The boy’s squad were led by Ethan Peyton & Tony Schoultz. Ethan was a double winner, 

Winning the 100 Butterfly & 100 Breaststroke. Tony was 2nd in both the 200 & 100 Freestyle.

Ethan was named Co-Swimmer of the meet due to his 2 wins!

The boys continue to show impressive depth this year & easily beat Dublin Jerome this past weekend. In addition to the depth the boys won 8 out of 11 events! Freshman Caleb Tan & Senior Ethan Tu led the team with 2 individual wins each. Caleb won the 200 Freestyle & 100 Breaststroke, while Ethan won the 100 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke. Other individual wins were turned in by: Mulenga Cole – 200 IM, Samyak Ramachandre – 50 Freestyle, & Austin Zhong – 500 Freestyle.

Highlights

Mason Girls Bowling fell to Kings 1783-1909 in a close opening-season contest.

High Game went to Lacey Doll (12th), 188.  The JV girls won with brand new bowler Kylie Faller (10th) rolling personal best games for a 2 game 304 series.

Mason Girls Bowl dropped a close one to Fairfield on Monday. Final score was 1973-1895.

The Comet Girls had Fairfield after the 2nd baker but lost momentum for a tough loss.  High games went to Lacey Doll (12th), 141 and171 and Kennedi Greyer (11th), 161.

Next up, Mason (0-2, 0-1) will visit Princeton on Thursday, 12/4.

The Comet Girls Bowlers earned a 1815-1589 win at Princeton on Thursday. No other details available yet.

The bitter cold did not keep the Girls Bowlers off the lanes on Monday, 12/15.

However, the girls fell to Mount Notre Dame, 1962 to 2274.  Junior Aubrey DeWood scored the high two game series at 312.  

Next up for Mason Girls (1-4, 1-2) is an away match at Sycamore, TONIGHT, Tuesday, 12/16.

On Tuesday, 12/16, the Girls Varsity bowlers fell to Sycamore by just 40 pins.  High 2 game series went to junior, Tierney Flynn with 316 pins.  The JV girls, however,  beat the Aves by a landslide helped by sophomore, Sophie Allen's, new PR 180 game.   Great job, Sophie!  

Mason (1-5, 1-3) will compete at the Back to School Bash at Roll House on Saturday, 1/3/26.

The Varsity Girls bowlers competed in the Back to School Bash Tournament at Rollhouse Lanes on Saturday, 1/3/26.  After individual and team competition, Mason earned 19th seed out of 32 for the single elimination bracket. 

The Lady Comets beat Madeira, entered the second round and fell to Miamisburg.  On a very tough oil pattern, scoring was led by  Lacey Doll, Kylie Faller, Tierney Flynn and Aubrey DeWood.
